Danehurst Estate Agents
Make room for your next chapter
A practical starting point for finding and buying a home.

Tell us what a home needs to do for you
A useful search starts with the way you want to live. Tell us about the areas you are considering, your budget, the number of bedrooms and any essential features. A garden, parking, space to work or the condition of the property may be central to your plans. It also helps to know where you could be flexible.
We work with first-time buyers, existing homeowners and property investors across Dorset and the New Forest. Sharing your requirements and your current buying position helps us explain suitable instructions and understand when a new property could be worth bringing to your attention.
Get a clear view of your budget
Understanding your funding early makes viewings and offers more purposeful. Alongside the purchase price, consider the other costs of moving and the money you may want available for the property itself. A mortgage adviser can explain the borrowing options appropriate to your circumstances.
An Agreement in Principle can help establish a working budget and demonstrate preparation to a seller, although it is not a final mortgage offer. If you would like an introduction, we work with independent mortgage professionals at Canford Financial Services.
View the property and ask questions
Browse the current listings, look through the photographs and floorplans, and contact us to arrange a viewing. We will discuss availability and access, including selected later appointments where these can be arranged. Let us know about any practical requirements when booking.
A viewing is your opportunity to consider the layout, condition and location in more detail. Ask about the information that matters to your decision. We can raise questions with the seller and arrange further access where appropriate, while your surveyor and solicitor provide advice within their specialist areas.
Make an offer with your position explained
When you are ready to offer, tell us the proposed price, how the purchase will be funded, whether you have a property to sell and your preferred timescale. We will put the offer to the seller and keep you informed of their response. Clear information about your circumstances helps the seller assess the proposal.
From an agreed offer to your new keys
Once an offer is accepted, the transaction involves legal enquiries, mortgage arrangements and any survey you choose to commission. We stay in contact, help with requests for property information and access, and follow progress with the parties involved.
If you need a conveyancing introduction, ask us about the firms we work with. You should understand each adviser’s service and charges before appointing them. Our team remains available to answer estate agency questions and help you keep sight of the next step.
